Covid-19 info: possible cure? Or fake news?
For everybody's info:
A friend of mine told me to look up a medication called Pulmicort (a.k.a. Budesonide), which -if used with a nebulizer- can cure Covid-19.
This is an interview of Texas Dr. Richard Bartlett with TV-station presenter Debbie Georgatos.

See for yourself if this benefits you (or not).

Re: Covid-19 info: possible cure?
i kinda think this is b/s
there's places around the world where asthma is prevalent and pulmicort slash simbicort is a popular preventative and asthmatics still get covid.
Further this quack is still pushing hydroxychloroquine so that should tell you where this is going...

Unless you get rid of that presidential yokel, it will also get a lot worse in USA!
Still NOT a great day for a Guinness! (the Real Black Stuff).
Ireland is on FULL lockdown until Easter 2021!

FYI, hydroxychloroquine is is widespread use in Africa for malaria and Africa has a much lower incidence rate of the chicom wuhan coronavirus than many other areas.TonyJZX wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 11:42 ami kinda think this is b/s

Re: Covid-19 info: possible cure?
amazing how these kinds of threads get political
my question would come down to why smaller western democracies can afford to pay people $2,000 per month on a continuing basis while other countries only get a $600 once off cheque but somehow the stock market gets multi trillion dollar bailouts whenever they want.
socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the poor
and if you have a job like me and pay a mortgage then you are the working poor, i have no iillusions i will ever be rich but i have my own place, two cars and all my bills are paid and my kids go to nice schools

Because those "smaller western democracies" are taxing their citizens up the wazoo. You like $8 / gal gasoline? I don't

African countries's reporting is probably also less accurate, plus the overall warmer climate may help with reduced spreading or lower severity of illness. There are more factors than just hydroxychloroquine. Although, as far as I know, there are still ongoing trials on hydroxychloroquine, and some doctors/doctor associations do recommend it if there are no contra-indications.cadillacmike68 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:25 pmFYI, hydroxychloroquine is is widespread use in Africa for malaria and Africa has a much lower incidence rate of the chicom wuhan coronavirus than many other areas.
Probably because a stock market crash will badly affect everyone. In the end, everyone's money is in it, whether through direct investments, or the retirement savings plans.TonyJZX wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 10:00 pmmy question would come down to why smaller western democracies can afford to pay people $2,000 per month on a continuing basis while other countries only get a $600 once off cheque but somehow the stock market gets multi trillion dollar bailouts whenever they want.

Re: Covid-19 info: possible cure?
you have the use of google
typically a litre of gasoline in canada is $1.15 can so about $4.40 a gallon so about $3.30 usd!
where I am gasoline is about $1.00 in our money and I just routinely buy the highest grade because its only $1.25 a litre and so a full tank is about $75
thing is i cant eat gasoline or pay my mortgage with low low gas prices
its swings and roundabouts... i'm ok with paying a very high $1.25 a litre if it means i get free healthcare and if i get covid the govt pays for everything end to end inc. ICU and a hotel room quaratine if need be. If I lose my job the govt will pay unemployment benefits for as long as it takes.
and IMO this govt. is one of the most incompetent there's ever been... we cant all choose to be born where we are
a funny thing to note is that in the US there is some form of free medicare, medicaid and what not for older folk. In CHina there's even none of that. No money, cant see a doctor, die in the streets.
So I guess even communist countries has less socialism and 'rugged individualism' that some...

Re: Covid-19 info: possible cure?
I think many people would accept this tradeoff you describe. In the US, though, because of how big and spread out it is, people end up driving a whole lot more than everywhere else. So gas prices affect people's day-to-day more than most other things. That's what I think causes the focus on this.TonyJZX wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 3:01 amits swings and roundabouts... i'm ok with paying a very high $1.25 a litre if it means i get free healthcare and if i get covid the govt pays for everything end to end inc. Canada is even bigger, but the population is not as spread out as far as I know, and according to statistics I could find, the annual distance driven per capita is lower compared to the US (which seems to be double that of the average value they measured, e.g,. here).

Re: Covid-19 info: possible cure?
I'm hearing a lot of excuses here. I mean we all love the poorly educated...
People drive more because of poor planning poor public transport and low density housing etc.
My assumption will be that a country with a 1/10th of the population of a large country will have a tenth of the GDP and should invariably scale... they should be spending a tenth of that on defence (in comparison).
If you have to drive so much then dont buy a Ford F150. I used to drive v8s and whatnot but I now drive a four cyl. crossover suv.
To me I'm always humbled when smaller less rich countries can achieve things that we cannot.
A small neighbouring country was able to roll out fiber optic internet to every household. No excuses.
Our country spent close to $75 bil. USD to roll out a hodge podge of copper and 15% fiber instead. We will need to spending 10s of billions fixing this up.
In the US the govt. gifted $400 bn to the comms companies and they delivered... nothing.
I suppose people just get used to the CHinese attitude that there's no way to fix things, 'no method' so thats it then.
