hmm... perfect. my computer is referred to as they as it's non-binary. it's also genderfluid in such a way that i must use it/itself pronouns when it doesn't have a CMOS battery (context: it doesn't have a CMOS battery at the moment).

I have some of each. My W520 is a he. My T420s is a he. The X220 's and the X230 are she's. My Yoga flips back and forth.

In German, we have different articles for different genders - famous "der/die/das". For my ThinkPads, I would say "das ThinkPad", which is the neuter form. Grammatically, I think "der ThinkPad" (maskuline) would also be correct and used by some. "die ThinkPad" (feminine) would be weird and does not feel correct.

As per in Chinese, anything that's not a human is referred to as it, so I just call all of them as it that way.
