Im living close to Toronto and was looking to buy more ram for my t42 was wondering if anyone around know a good place to buy it, preferably with good prices

I just don’t trust online stores that much + like to try everything on the spot

Thanks

Hi turbolium, I live in Toronto and would be glad to help you. I would recommend you take a stroll along College Street between Spadina Avenue and Bathurst Street, there are over a dozen stores along the stretch offering one of the lowest prices I've seen. The following stores are where I check often and have site online:

www.pcmetro.ca
Pros: Will Price-Match competitors (even online retailers). They were willing to Price-Match TigerDirect.ca.
On a scale of 1 (expensive) to 5 (cheap) for pricing, I would say it is a 4.
Cons: Only one location

www.canadacomputers.com
Pros: Many locations across Toronto.
Items on sale are usually good deals.
Most popular computer store in Toronto - But obviously behind big stores - with big prices - like Future Shop and Best Buy since they have so many locations and are known by most people.
On a scale of 1 (expensive) to 5 (cheap) for pricing, I would say it is a 3.5.
Cons: Bad customer service

www.pcvonline.com
Pros: Many locations across Toronto.
Items on sale are usually good deals.
On a scale of 1 (expensive) to 5 (cheap) for pricing, I would say it is a 4.5.
Cons: No idea, never bought from them.

I have noticed that www.pcvonline.com has one of the lowest memory prices in the city. However, I have also noticed that it really depends on the brand/size of the memory, some stores offer a higher price for 1gb ram than another store yet offer cheaper price for 512mb than that same store. Same goes for the brand.

There are so many different computer stores in Toronto that I cannot check the price of every single one of them. But those are the three I look to first when I want to buy a product.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
