I recently bought an X40 from a nice guy here but when it arrived the kid and his wife I bought it for decided they didn't want it. The laptop was used for less than a year, and though it's in really nice shape but for a couple of those white spots that develop on the LCD's of travelled machines on occasion the kid wanted a brand new laptop for a used laptop price. Needless to say I won't be helping them further. Rather than be stuck with an X40 I didn't need for myself I chose to sell it on eBay for a decent price ($875 delivered for a 1.4GHz, 768MB, 40GB, IBM a/b/g, etc. ...in case anyone here is interested

) that wouldn't kill me too badly after fees and my other costs associated with the laptop.
I placed the ad and in it I stated that I made things easy for the buyer by making the Restore CD's for them in advance and I was shipping them with the laptop. eBay pulled my auction stating I was supplying copyrighted CD's with my item. What? I explained that this is INTENDED by the manufacturer and what difference does it make whether the buyer or seller makes them. I just wanted to save the buyer a few hours time. They won't replace my auction. I haven't sold on eBay for almost a year so maybe things have changed a lot since my last auction?
Have any of you run into this? Am I in the wrong here? Any input appreciated.
Thanks,
