mark..

you best use the original OS for that 730T..

it sure will NOT support Win anything AFAIK..
well, maybe win 3.1..

way too slow..

external HDD's are great but i don't see that thinkpad supporting one..
no USB, very OLD pcmcia slot..
how do you plan to connect it..?
via the parallel port.> serial port..?

what you have there is an antique and it should be restored with its antique OS..

PLEASE DON'T TRASH IT!!

I'd be more than willing to take it off your hands, as would several other people in this forum.

Shame on you....you peaked my interest so much that I just bought one off of eBay. ($20.99 shipped) :D :D :D

Now I just need to locate a hard drive and battery.

battery will cost more than the 730T, for sure..
but these antique thinkpads can be fun..

no HDD..?
how about the HDD caddy..?
i'm not sure if the 730 uses the 700/720 caddy or the 750/755 caddy..
if the latter i probably have a caddy and an old working HDD..

Yeah, I know that the battery is going to be expensive. I might skip that, just for the pleasure of owning a 730T...even though not having a battery would practically be pointless for this type of machine.

I am researching now if a 2gb pc card hard drive that I have my eye on will work. If not, there is an original 105mb hard drive out there for about the same price as what I paid for the 730T.
