[censored]! Called to return T60p.........
I called to return my machine and they said 30 days elapsed yesterday. I said how is that so? They told me its 30 days from when it SHIPS!!! I said it took 2 days to get here. How can they call it 30 days to try out system if i get 28? Anyone have suggestion? Anyone help?
If you can certainly prove that you received it less than 30 days ago by the UPS tracking information, call IBM corporate headquaters in Armonk, NY and speak VERY CALMLY and SANELY with the executive offices.
If you want to help your case, just do it very calmly and don't be argumentative.

I checked out their policy online, and as i thought they are correct, that it shows from the date shipped, but it really is irritating.

It has always been from the ship date.stephenaron wrote:I checked out their policy online, and as i thought they are correct, that it shows from the date shipped, but it really is irritating.

Never suggested it wasnt...just think that calling it 30 days to try out the machine is not very accurate.
I would check if this legal clause is correct according to your local consumer laws.
The seller offers a 30 day trial period, but silently includes the shipping time,
which is at no means under the control of consumer at the receiving end.
If you really want to return it
contact a consumer protection organization and check with their laywers.
Try to get a written statement that shows that
you have tried to return it at the mentioned date within the 30 days after receipt.

It's not so silent. Here's what it says in the Returns Policy on Lenovo's US web site. I made the relevent text bold:lophiomys wrote:The seller offers a 30 day trial period, but silently includes the shipping time
"For any new Lenovo products, you may return it to Lenovo for any reason within 30 days of the date of invoice and obtain a refund or credit."
You can read it yourself at http://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/store ... d=10000001
Always read the fine print.

stephenaron,
why do you want to return it..?
i love my T60p..!
so far, i find that lenovo has carried on the ibm tradition..
and as you have discovered (and i did too) its 30 days from shipping date..
i had several new thinkpads tha5t a customer backed out on, so i eventually found a customer for them..
right now i have a new tablet that is still in the box..
s..t happens..
you are stuck with a wonderful computer.. it could be worse..
worst case, sell it in the marketplace, here..

Anyone happen to know how much time you have to actually return the machine after the RMA has been issued?
