I had to do it.....

#1 Post by draco2527 » Wed May 03, 2006 8:26 pm

I have been thinking of doing this for a while, but since it is not my laptop (work owns it) then I went the easy route.

The film is there until the white glue dries on the IBM logo, I wanted everything to be easy to remove; should the need arise.

Enjoy:

Yes, I know that it is not IBM anymore! but, I seem to have handfulls of the IBM/ThinkPad logos (removed from bad plastics) and that is the best I could do with what I have........

If lenovo wants to send one to my house(ThinkPad Logo):

2477..... well, just............

PM me......

MOD EDIT AGAIN: Please use links instead of pics, without a warning in the subject line.

Ha, that is probably the best modification that could be done to that Dell.

Reminds me of the ma...thos..uncountable number of funny bumper stickers I see around here.

Good job. :)

She does the things you do.

+1 Beemer owner!

Nice stickers! I think we should make them for the site!!

we could do:

"My other laptop is a thinkpad!"
"I'd rather be working on a thinkpad!"
"Saving my pennies for a thinkpad!"
"Thinkpads rule and Dells ... well you know!"

:)

Shouldn't it be "an" IBM ThinkPad? No I'm not an English teacher.

Anyway, NICE! Remove sticker before calling the helpdesk...

Yes, I was wondering the same thing... I was too lazy to research it.....

I figured if someone mentioned something I would look into it...

I looked into it...
"A" goes before all words that begin with consonants.
a cat
a dog
a purple onion
a buffalo
a big apple

with one exception: Use an before unsounded h.

an honorable peace
an honest error

"An" goes before all words that begin with vowels:
an apricot
an egg
an Indian
an orbit
an uprising

with two exceptions: When u makes the same sound as the y in you, or o makes the same sound as w in won, then a is used.

a union
a united front
a unicorn
a used napkin
a U.S. ship
a one-legged man
Will update tonight....

Now that is very funny. You're justified by your experience to use such a label! I guess you have to keep it away from your boss or the pc buyer there. Very funny.

LOL! I am the PC Buyer.....and I did show it to my Boss! N/J!

He laughed....I take the T42 to work (sometimes) and the call me the "stinkpad" fan....

I had the picture of a T42 on display as a background (21" CRT and the 15.4 widescreen laptop) these were both Dell products in an environment that has 100% Dell branded Laptops and Desktops.

I get HUGE discounts from Dell, twice a year I get the best EPP I can get PLUS 30% off that....and I still will not buy one(laptop)! I called IBM/Lenovo and told them I would mail/fax them the information from Dell and I would buy a ThinkPad instead of a Dell if they gave me the IBM EPP/Discount.....they laughed (even with the IBM EPP I think the ThinkPads are still higher then Dell's) in my face.....OH well!!...

The contract is handled at a higher level (with Dell) I just "buy" stuff from them....
