Accademic Excellence?

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Wed May 10, 2006 10:33 pm

This paper made my head spin. My friend who showed me the link claims this is a real paper but I can't be convinced that this isn't some prank a kid with plenty of grade points to lose decided to pull when he got bored.

Next time my lit teacher criticizes me for my; improper; use of: colons and ; semicolons; I'm gonna pull this; up and say: aren't you glad I didn't give ya this?

I am pretty sure it is a joke; but not that sure mind you.

I have seen people give out marks based on what is supposedly called "creativity"

Thankfully, though, I have never come across a paper like that.

Given the situation that most of the High Schools in the US are going through, your teacher should be pretty glad you even know what a semi-colon is and how to use it.

And, seriously here, one of my English Profs said he knew somebody that would grade papers based on how high they bounced when dropped on the floor; again, I am pretty sure he wasn't joking. :)

Who on earth graded this anyway? "Page is to big?" Nnnoooo...I think that gives it away...

I do, however, like the "Works Cited" section. It is practically, a riot; Yahoo, Google, Tubgirl. I, for one, am suprised Goatse wasn't included.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Tsk. Tsk. Accademic Excellence?
Not.

Academic is more a more scholarly term.

I would be the friend who refered him to this - And ironically, I've seen worse.

I'll get a scan of it later, its actually an insult note to me.

Expelled?

It's getting to the point over here that we can't even require that HS students prove they deserve to graduate!

Don't worry. There is still plenty of room to lower our standard of education for another five decades. There is no need to be alamed.
