Yeah, don't even the new MacBooks cost around $1,099? :|

I still think the exploding Dell's would be the most effective laptop/IED/BBQ combo; might even get one for less than the price of a grill.

It may be taken seriously by the airlines companies banning laptop usage when airborne (of course regardless of laptop's brand) which certainly will impact many of us who used to fly enjoying their Thinkpads (not me yet...)
14.1" T43 2668-6ZU machine.
ATI x300, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, all the connectivity (except of Bluetooth), DVD/CD-WR Combo...
Still excited about this great machine...
