Thought this might be interesting to post. Still seems as if Intel is lightyears ahead of the comeptition when it comes to mobile CPUs. The Acer it was compared to, by the way, had a X1600 and a Turion 64 X2 twin-core AMD. Which it seems the Yonah can outdo in most regards.

Turion X2 doesn't have as much cache per core (512KiB/core) as the Core Duo (2MiB shared). From what I understand, Core Duo's front end components (prefetcher, branch prediction, decoders, instruction window, etc) are also more advanced than Turion X2's. This pretty much negates the advantages that Turion has (integrated memory controler, mor execution units).
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!
