USB stick security

#1 Post by thinktank » Wed Aug 09, 2006 8:46 am

I am looking for a simple solution to secure the data on USB sticks. Something that requires a password without installing additional software on the host PC and works on multiple platforms (XP, Linux, maybe Mac). Is that even possible?

Not necessarily since I have some already without. I am playing around with TrueCrypt right now...

TrueCrypt is the way to go. I've been using for a while now. It's pretty easy. I don't like having to go through the extra step of mounting the secure partition, but I guess that's the price of security.

I would recommend TrueCrypt as well. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
