There are various programs, for both Windows and Linux (mainly for Linux), that let you use the HDAPS accelerometers for such tasks as moving windows around, tapping to change workspaces/dekstops, using it as a lightsaber, and tap sequence commands as well as its function of displaying a 3D model of the Thinkpad in space as it is currently oriented.

This article as well as this page for more information.

Yup, popularizing *hitting the LCD* to move through windows is certainly and advantage and, can in no way shape or form, contribute to any damage caused to the LCD for which Apple will be happy to charge you $300+.

Because, hey, it's Soooooo *COOL*, right?

Now here are some really useful applications for HDAPS

The ability to keep your screen level using OpenGL; http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~ecc/gyro.tar.gz

as well as the ability to play NeverBall on a level playing field; http://rlove.org/log/2005100302.html

Now, if you will excuse me, I have to move 5 windows to the left....

*smack* *smack* *smack* *smack* *smack*...*SMACK*

Ah there we go, things are fuzzy but it got there I think; you know, this is almost as good as using voice recognition software to control the mouse at pixel precision....and just about as fun too.
