How long do you need to charge your handphone?

#1 Post by NS » Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:37 pm

Hi guys,
Sorry about this topic. My nokia Hp took 1 and a half hour to charge up to full battery. I am wondering is this normal because the handphone manual states that the handphone will take 2 hours to fully charge. My handphone battery is li-ion. <--is this lithium ion??? :?

Please clarify this handphone issue with me. I am a handphone idiot..!

Thanks

It varies depending on how low the battery is. The manual gives only estimates. If you want to be on the safe side of things, an overnight charge with the phone off after discharging all the way (only do this once or twice per month though as it adds cycles to battery) should keep the battery in good health.

In Singapore, handphones mean cell phones (the phone which you can carry around with you) ...not my house cordless phone...:D

BTW: I have already stated that it is a nokia and nokia only produce cell phones...:D

that's actually much smarter approach than if you claim that you know everything. just don't be too hard on yourself. :P

I have two batteries for my Motorola. One lasts 3 days no problems; the other lasts 2.5 days and I cross my fingers for the last half day. Whichever battery is in the phone, I then charge it overnight (turned off). The rest of the time, the phone is always on. I have a 350 anytime minutes plan and use it up or slightly beyond each month, so three working days (always on) looks good to me. ... JD Hurst

I charge my Nokia N70 every fourth night or so. Takes about 1½ hours to recharge, like yours.
