Toshiba Laptop service manual

#1 Post by vanaya » Fri Sep 29, 2006 8:01 pm

I was given a toshiba satelite 1905-s303 laptop that would shut down. I googled the problem and found it to be a heatsink that would overheat and cause the computer to shut down. Does anyone know where I can find some type of HMM's??

Don't want to open the hood without some sort of insight...

There's a really great site that someone's created that gives steps to the disassembly of different Toshiba laptops - all it has for the Satellite 1905 is how to disassemble it to the point where you can replace memory, but it might get you to the heatsink. Anyways, it's located here if you want to look. Plus there's a link to some comments on the "guide" that may prove more handy for what you want to do.:) I tried looking for a HMM for a Satellite 1800 I got and couldn't find anything more than a simple users' guide for it.

Thanks for that link. I found it prior to all his additions to it. But after trying step 4, i broke the power button connection to the mottherboard that he fails to mention, so i trying to find a part number to replace it.
