Thinkpad t41, iPods & iTunes

#1 Post by fjs08 » Wed Oct 11, 2006 12:03 pm

Hi,
Received this note from my daughter who has a Thinkpad t41, a new video iPod, and iTunes.

>>I downloaded a bunch of TV shows, but Apple keeps updating iTunes and I can't get the last version to download onto my iPod so I bought all these downloads and can't get them onto my iPod -- now THAT's frustrating!<<

Anyone have any thoughts about this??? Where do we go from here??

Thanks.

Frank

You could use something like XPod to essentially replace iTunes for getting files onto and off of the iPod. There are also some free alternatives, I forgot their names, as well as a multitude of plugins available for media players like Winammp and FooBar2000 to sync music with portable devices, especially iPods. The latest versions should handle music and video now. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

yes the new version of iTunes is out, its like 7.0.1 or something like that. I have it on my t42p and my hp desktop. I have an ipod photo, not video but everything on the new iTunes software is ready for tv shows and everything. Look at your preferences tab and under podcasts. Not to mention the new updats automatically searches and finds and applies cover art for albums. Hey Apple IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if they could only get their beautiful sound check feature to ACTUALLY set levels all the same man I would be a happy person for sure! You said you purchased downloads? Downloads from Apple for iTunes and quicktime are all free, unless you get some super dee duper awesome quicktime version.

I believe the OP is talking about content, not the iTunes program.
