#1 Post by dfumento » Tue Oct 31, 2006 2:34 pm

This article: http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle. ... =877&cid=9

talks about having 45nm processors (from current 65nm) in 2nd half of 2007. Santa Rosa chipset due in Spring will have built-in flash memory for better hard drive performance. It will also have a faster built-in graphics processor than the current chipset.

The article discusses a 1/2 full rack system of 20 dual quad core Xeon systems which places in top 200 supercomputers today and full rack places in top 80.

Also discusses a 80 core processor fabbed on the 45nm process.

This time next year we should see the 45nm processor laptops.
