@Cigarguy
"Thinkpadinitus" is a fine term for it
Im my case it's pathological and incurable...
@ajkula66:
Unfortunally no flexview.

Good observation George! Mornsgrans, did you actively avoid Flexview models? Statistically speaking, you should have at least 3, just by chance!ajkula66 wrote:Mornsgrans, no FlexViews in your fabulous collection? Not counting the tablet, that is...
I'd love to know where you found the Serial Portpianowizard wrote: The number of Thinkpads I currently own: 0.5. It's an X32 with the top removed because the backlight is dead. I am using it with an external LCD hooked up. I bought it strictly for its small footprint and serial port.

I am not fond of this laptop and hadn't looked at it in a long time, so I forgot. I just took a look. It turns out I am using the serial and parallel ports on the dock. This is how I got things mixed up: I bought it for the parallel port on the laptop itself, but ended up needing to use the serial port as well, and so I attached the dock and stopped using the laptop's parallel port.RealBlackStuff wrote:I'd love to know where you found the Serial Porton your X32 (not the one in the Ultrabase!).
AFAIK they only have a Parallel and and a VGA port!

I have one SXGA+ and one UXGA - ThinkPad. The resolutions are too high for my eyes. So i prefer XGA (still hating Wxxx - display-format). So i never actively looked for a flexview-ThinkPad.pianowizard wrote: Mornsgrans, did you actively avoid Flexview models? Statistically speaking, you should have at least 3, just by chance!
But not too old to continue itNeil wrote:BTW, this thread is eight years old now!

That's one of the worst addictions one could possibly expose themselves to...a three-spindle-FlexView...absolutely deadly...Medessec wrote:

Ok, I understand that if you are part of an IT group of an office you get to configure and perhaps use more than 1 ThinkPad. However, I think there are owners out there that actually have more than one ThinkPad for personal use.
Why do you own more than one ThinkPad at the same time?
Mind you, that I wouldn't mind getting a new one every time they come outLike a top of the line T42p, however, with my current laptop ussage, the T40p is more than enough for my needs.
