Should i trust this ebay seller???

#1 Post by NS » Sat Nov 25, 2006 4:31 am

http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0051431765

He claimed that "All proceeds for this auction will go to the American Cancer Society".

And this R52 is so cheap??? He never list the model number for that thinkpad...

Any suggestions from experienced ebay sellers and buyers???

Many thanks... :-)

I guess you could start by asking about the chances of seeing a larger size pic of the letter that's there (the date of it looks like late April this year, so seems strange that such an auction would take place 6 months after its printing). As for the price, it's nothing unusual to see bidding start slowly....I've seen a few T4x's on eBay Australia with lower highest bids after the same amount of time and they've looked legitimate.

I guess that if you're in doubt, stay away. I'd keep a watch on it to see how it plays out though.

The reason that it is so cheap, is because there are 7 days remaining...you are just looking at the current bid.

As for it being legit, I am going to say yes. Take a look at some of the users feedback. There are references to other items having been for charity.

Besides, I donated a laptop last year at work to raise money for ACS, as well.
