Thoughts on stickers?

#1 Post by RUSH2112 » Wed Nov 29, 2006 11:04 pm

I printed out a few stickers and slapped them on the back of my X60. I've done this to a few other computers, but I didnt like the outcome. This doesnt look too bad though.

What are your thoughts on stickers in general?

In my opinion there is no way im ruining the look of my t42p with some stickers. As a matter of fact i dont like stickers all that much at all. Even with my paintball gear and r/c gear I would never put a sticker on anything i spend that kind of money on. I did put a sticker on a hopper lid one time, but that gun was less than $300.

I am not a big fan of stickers, especially not on Thinkpads. If you like it, then great. Even though there really aren't too many stickers on it, it does kinda look crowded near those areas.

Interesting tidbit, HAL = IBM +/- 1. :)

I have a colleague who uses a drill bit to etch his full name on the lid of every laptop he has owned. He does that to discourage thieves from stealing his laptops. That's much worse than putting stickers on the lid!

I remember, for my HP48G, that I could have a jeweler engrave a plaque with my name and it had a little place for it on the back (HP used to offer that for cheap too).

I have seen some do that to laptops, but it is a bit of a pain. :D
