T Series Forum OT overcrowding

#1 Post by K. Eng » Sun Sep 05, 2004 10:21 pm

I keep seeing lots of threads in the T series forum that are off topic (threads concerning Linux, Windows, other things not T series).

I have nothing against the new folks who don't know any better, and I don't want to discourage people from joining, but I think there needs to be a bit more moderation.

And since I am the one complaining, I am officially offering to volunteer as a moderator :) since I am here a lot anyways.

As an X40 user, I vote yes to allowing K.Eng to moderate the T forum! :)

Seriously, though - like many, I follow it as well and it might be a good idea as this site starts to grow in popularity.

I was gone most of this weekend, and boy was it busy around here! This is really an interesting and annoying phenomenon that has occurred since about day 1 on this forum - people are simply gravitated towards the T-series forum on this board. For some reason they post everything there and don't even know the rest of the site exists! I've moved countless threads over the past months, and I will continue to do so. I think we've got it covered for now, but I'm sure Bill can use all the help you can give him!

This is probably because a new user will arrive at the forum and scroll down and see that the T series is the busiest just by looking at the number of threads and post so will think that's the best place to post. :?
