Help with converting DVD image to AVI

#1 Post by RUSH2112 » Fri Jan 05, 2007 12:47 am

I have a DVD image (I think) on my hard drive. It has a series of .VOB files (the actual content), plus a pair of BUP's and IFO's. I can actually play the VOB's in VLC, but they are broken up and you have manually switch every 15 minutes (plus the whole thing takes up over 4GB).

Is there any way to convert this to a single AVI?

I tried DVD Ripping apps, but most have a problem reading the folder as a DVD.

Do you mean AVI like DivX? There are ways to extract the VOB files, you can check out how to do it and perhaps find the tools you need HERE.

I don't know if this will help or not, but I have bought software ($35 DVD Ripper) from these people for converting DVD's to Divx for using on a PVP. They sell a number of DVD ripping tools.
