Anybody got any problem logging on this forum recently?

I encounter a lot of errors. The error seems to be database related, like Mysql errorno ####?

I wonder if anybody experienced the same problem or it is just my problem. I have encountered at least three times within the last 5 days.

I've been having the same problem. Bill Morrow blamed it on the snow storms. Another forum (about classical music) that I frequent was down earlier today, also due to bad weather.

Yes, the problems have been weather related...

Thanks. I am glad I am not alone.

This internet thing is really fragile. The earth quake in Taiwan has caused billions of dollars of loss. Now, let us see what this storm might bring us.

I was affected by the earthquake as our school used Singnet ISP and the undermarine cables are damaged and access to websites like google, yahoo or any websites which is not local especially USA websites will get an error. I can only surf this forum from my home because i used another provider whose cables are not affected by the quake.

BTW: Did you guys especially the mods realised that during the quake, there is less disruptions in this forum? :D

So this proved that all of us are severly addicted to the internet especially this forum. :-(

With respect,
Boon Hui

I don't think the internet itself is all that fragile, but when there's no power to the servers the forum runs on, the forum's down.

Problems only occur when I enter the wrong password.
T420 i5-2520M 2.50GHz 4 GB RAM 64-bit OS WIN7pro SP1

T60 1951-46U Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz 1 GB RAM 60 GB XPpro

TP 600E 2645 PII 366MHZ 160MB RAM 37.2GB WIN98SE

Computers do exactly what you tell them at amazing speeds; this can be bad if what you told them wasn't what you had in mind.

the database in on a different server from the forum..
when the link goes down you will get an error..
also, the UPS's will only run things for about 3 hours before they go down during a power failure..

look at the weather in missouri..
its been and still is experiencing frozen rain, ice and so forth..

the other day when you had that error, i did too, but i could access the database using a special tool and i could also upload and download..
