Gah, the refs gave the game to the Colts.

#1 Post by RUSH2112 » Sun Jan 21, 2007 10:43 pm

That bloody "roughing the passer" that put the colts on the 10 just handed the game and the afc title to the colts. They seriously need to set up a review board for bad/corrupt refs.

As a side note, I hope that the Bears rip the Colts' effing heads off.

were you even watching the game or did you just see that on sportscenter? they were going to score regardless of that personal foul. They ran the ball 3 times after that penalty and still had over a minute on the clock. Do you really think they couldn't get another 15 yards in that extra minute? Tip your hat to the better team and go at it again next year.

The refs sure didn't help. It was not just that call, but several other poor calls against the pats and non-calls against the colts. Granted, the pats when into this idiotic prevent defense after the half and kinna shot themselves in the foot, but if we didnt have crooked refs, we still probably would have won.

OH! And WHY were they PASSING up by 3 with 4 minutes left!?!? RUN RUN RUN and chew up the clock, even if it means you dont get the first!

And I did not even watch sports center. I was too busy cursing at the top of my lungs the whole drive home.

Well, that was a feel-good game, huh?

Come on with the bad call stuff...everyone says it after every big loss, including me, but you can only judge when you don't have a bias. The Pats had their turn, let someone else in! :P

I think the Colts perseverance had a little bit more to do with the win than "corruption."

I think the fact that the Colts marched the ball right down the field like 4 times says something about the NE defense (that they suck perhaps?). I didn't see any Ref corruption; I thought the game was fairly played just the NE's lack of stats finally showed themselves (think about it, NE's stats aren't that great and yet they make it to Superbowls? That's crap.).

I do like that Indy won though, so Chicago can tear them up two weeks from now. The Chicago Defense is *not something to sneeze at and I bet Peyton Manning will be watching a lot of tape between now and then to see if he even has a chance at breaking that defense.

If the Chicago D is so good, why are they the underdogs?

That's the consensus in Philly, where if the Eagles won last week against the Saints, we'd surely get our asses handed to us against the Bears!!

GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my favorite team in the NFL. The refs I personally think didn't know what they were doing. There were calls that should penalized both teams, but it was a great game of football. Stop your belly aching about hoe unfair the game was. It was a close game and that is all that matters.
I have finally rejoined the dark side.

Wow. Someone who doesn't know how to read stat sheets. Smells like a fan blinded by their own team.

I think that we (the Eagles) would have gotten thrashed against the Bears. But, I also think we didn't play to win against NO. NO played to win against the Bears (Brees had 354 yards!), but they couldn't get it done when it counted.

If the crooked officials during the San Diego/New England game last week hadn't handed the game to the Patriots, the Chargers would have won, the Colts would have come to San Diego where they would have been blown out by the Bolts, the Chargers would be on their way to the Superbowl and none of this would have happened.

OK, so I have held off on posting in this thread, but....

The Chargers definately deserved to make it to this last round. I am sooo sick of the Pats. I am a DIE HARD RAIDER fan, so my feelings for the Pats go back to the SnowBowl game with that ridiculous "Tuck Rule" incident.

I was very disappointed to see that the Chargers lost their lead, but be that as it may, the Colts are a MUCH better team. I was very happy to see the Colts get past their thorn in their side. There was just something about the Pats that made the Colts cringe.

Peyton deserves to get that SB ring, the same as the rest of the Colts players. Living in WI, I hear about Brett Favre EVERY day. While he ALSO deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, so does Peyton. He plays at a high level, consistently.

NOW, having said all of that....The Pats/Colts game WAS the Superbowl, as far as I am concerned. It was an incredible game that had me on the edge of my seat, screaming. The Bears Colts game will be good, but I have no doubts that the Colts will win. Given the fact that the Bears defense is better than the Colts, it is only by a small margin....whereas the Colts offense it drastically better than the Bears. It might not be a high scoring game, but the Colts will win. I am thinking 17-9...

Since we are talking about shouldas, the Bengals shoulda had a better year than they did. I have waited for so many years for those morons to put a team together and this was "supposed" to be the year. Guess what, it didnt happen. When you put more players in jail than you do on the injury report what do you think thats gonna do for team chemistry????? I mean give me a break you got Carson Palmer without a doubt one of the best QB's in the league week in and week out, and 2 of the best WR's in the league. BLAH BLAH BLAH oh the shoulda beens
