this board's admins are mostly sxga+ users, right?

#1 Post by kamaleon » Tue Jan 30, 2007 6:35 pm

Hi folks,

i've just been granted acces to the board (had to wait a few hours after i registered), so glad to be here.

I've realised the characters on some boxes in this board look quite big on my display. So i suppose it's T4X sxga+ - customized, right?

Anyway, i thought it was funny in case it's never been mentioned around here.

Regards, kamaleon

At least three of us are old, too. What's your point?

@nonny:
Am I one of those you are counting :) ?

And yes to the OP... I am running a T23 with a 14.1" SXGA+. Type is still readable with my current monovision setup with my contacts.

My web site about classical pianists keeps track of what screen resolutions my visitors use, and XGA (1024x768) is the most common.

No point whatsoever, i just thought it was funny - no other board i've ever been too diplays fonts this big - so i thought it had something to do with the fact that thinkpad geeks like big resolutions on their displays ;)

Didn't mean anything bad with it, don't take it wrong please :)

I am not an admin, but FWIW I have a 14.1" XGA display and IMO the fonts seem not too small, not too large, but just right (I never even thought about it before). :wink:

Well since its fluid, it seems to be fine on all resolutions. I've used it just fine on a 14.1" SXGA+, and I use it now on a 12" XGA, 150px or so on the right for my windows sidebar.
