I would if I knew any, I am proud to say I am the only woman that I know that owns a vintage Thinkpad. Most people don't understand why I bother to nurse and coddle such an antique or why I love to hang out with the boys in this ThinkTank. I have to be sexist here and say that loving a laptop is not a common female trait.pianowizard wrote:Purcy, can you invite your female friends to join this forum? We need more women here LOL!

Ray, hope you do finish this diary, I found it very interesting. I found your face I think, were you the only male in the photos? I'm happy to see you finally, after all the help you have freely given. Sad to report I remember the 60's, I was a teen during that time, wore bell bottoms that my mother sewed big floral inserts into to make the bells bigger and lots of patchouli oil. Now don't laugh, you'll be old someday too.

I believe it was Robin Williams who said: "If you can remember the '60s, you weren't really there". Having turned a "half-a-century" last November, I can attest to that statement!Purcy wrote:Sad to report I remember the 60's.. <snip>

LOL, we have the original guitarist and founder of the Grateful Dead, Bob Weir and Ratdog, coming to Pgh. in March. The show sold several hundred tickets in the first hour out the door, I'm guessing a large percentage are going to be "vintage" people.

Catholic (all girls) college.
Grad school and med school were eye opening experiences for her.
I don't know what flaw in her character made her find something attractive in crusty old sailors, but I thank the powers-that-be for it.

Sorry for pulling this thread up again. The original holder of this account Koh Boon Hui has left this forum because he needs to prepare to go abroad to study.
To be fair to every single one of you out there, this is me (his GF taking over his account):

Sorry, i also don\\\'t understand why the image color turned out like this. I am figuring out why because my cannon printer cannot work so well like KBH\\\'s scanner.

i can see that i will need to post a picture of myself..

larger version: http://www.billmorrow.com/Bill-BirgersH ... h_3046.jpg
in case anyone wants to print it out and staple it to a dart board..
taken after a small dinner party of photo hobbyists at the sailfish club about feb-25-2007.
which might explain why it turned out better than most..
though i would much rather be remembered like this:

with some of my bird friends, (left to right) Buddy, Pepper, Pickles and Peachy..
On Thanksgiving at dinner on the deck behind the house, in 2003.

As far as the workbench... it's a work in progress. My gear lives in the basement and eventually (where the canvas hangs) there will be walls and proper flooring etc.. Both pics aren't completely up to date either. The workbench config has changed a bit adding an enclosed 19 inch cabinet that I built, and the car has an imprint of a deer on the driver's side (Goes in for repair next week).
