How to depolarize CRT monitor?
I bought a nice monitor at a thrift store. The problem with it is that the screen is polarized (from Earth's magnetic field) and the built in Degauss (though it has helped) is not strong enough to reverse the effects. Any one know the best way to depolarize the monitor?

This may be helpful:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degaussing
In particular:
"Monitors without a degauss function can be degaussed by placing a degauss-enabled monitor face-to-face with the target monitor. Activating the degauss function on the enabled monitor can help degauss the other. Alternatively, one can affix two oppositely poled magnets to either side of a drill bit, attach it to a drill, and then hold the spinning drill to the target monitor."

Cool. The monitor that this one replaced has one hell of a degauss coil. May need to do this a few times, but it somewhat working. Only have one magnet to play around with do I don't think the drill trick will work. I knew you could degauss with a magnet. Did it one to a TV that has a minor polarization to its corner. Got rid of it.
