Crazy temperatures -- 117°C after 4 minutes

#1 Post by ahe » Fri Feb 23, 2007 12:27 am

Hello everyone,

I have an overheating problem with my R50p, and I'm trying to convince the IBM support staff that this computer does not function normally. I have found a very simple test-bench, which I've posted about here. I would greatly appreciate if others could replicate it with their Thinkpads and write up their results.

My girlfriend's Dell works perfectly, for a couple thousand dollars less. :?

Check answer I posted there. You may need to open up the laptop by yourself to know if my theory is right
