Opera 9.20 - new "Speed Dial" feature

I have been a fan of the Opera browser ever since they stopped charging for it over a year ago.

I have been using the latest version for several days now, and it is the best ever. The Speed Dial feature is pretty cool. When you open the browser, the page has a light outline of (9) large speed dial buttons. When you save a page to one of the buttons, then an image of the page is what is displayed on the button. Just click on the button to go to that page. It is similar to Favorites or Bookmarks, but access is faster and it is easier to launch your favorite (9) websites. Check it out...

EDIT: Oh, and one other thing. When you open a new tab, the Speed Dial page is what you see.

Another opera user here ... love the browser and its amazing features. I am too used to having the personal bar, and somehow I don't like the speed dial ....

Well, if you don't like Speed Dial, you can hide it easy enough. There is a button on the Speed Dial page to hide it...

I use the Opera Mobile 8.65beta on my Axim and it is stunning. This new beta version is very fast, offers tabbed browsing and will display anything your PC browser can do, including playing flash video like on Youtube. Using this makes me consider getting Opera on my Thinkpad.

I put Opera 1st in my browsers list and I like the new Speed Dial feature too.

Thanks Purcy. I own a Palm Tx and was looking for another browser beside Blazer, which is factory installed.

Here's the download link, not sure what OS your Palm is on, just be sure to get the 8.65beta, it is a major upgrade from the 8.60:

I've used Opera on my desktop but got too bloated for me so I switched to Firefox.

Just curious about getting a better browser on my Palm Tx.

When I say use Opera, I should also specify that I'm using the free Opera Mini (WM5). It allows more user control, and works with forums (unlike PIE).
