I just took pictures of my 15.4" Inspiron at three different display resolutions and posted them on another thread. However, I thought these photos might be informative for many forum members, so I decided to start a new thread for them. You can see these photos on my Yahoo album. Click the "Download" button followed by "Open" to see the full-sized image.
The photo on the left shows a WXGA screen with the internet browser maximized to fill the whole screen. For the middle photo, the resolution was increased to WSXGA+, and with the higher pixel density, the browser appears much smaller. The photo on the right shows the screen at its native resolution WUXGA, and the browser looks even smaller.

PW, thanks for the pics. How easy is it to read the pages you show in pic 2? Are they readable at all?

Because it's a non-native resolution, the texts are quite fuzzy, but it's not hard to read them at all.gator wrote:PW, thanks for the pics. How easy is it to read the pages you show in pic 2? Are they readable at all?

I have only seen a WUXGA screen two times till now, and I found it small for my (bespectacled) eyes. But I have to agree that the fonts looked very sharp on both of them. Its amazing to see the amount of info you can have on the screen at that resolution.
The only aspect of using such a high-res screen is that you wouldn't want to use anything lower once you get used to it. Everything looks blocky and huge on lower res screens ... I use a XGA 15" monitor at work and I don't like to see the screen after I work on my SXGA+ T60!
