Holy Jeebus!

#1 Post by gator » Sat May 26, 2007 12:31 pm

Check this ebay auction! The sale is for a "Holy Bible" signed by none other than Jeebus, circa 60 AD !? From the auction page:
Q: Does this come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the signer? May-24-07

A: Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately it does not come with a certificate as the signer is a tough cookie to track down.
This is a prank I guess, since the seller joined only in April 07. Sad to see that there are 7 bids.

No wonder why the listed has been ended. Look at this question asked regarding the auction:
Q: Does this come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the signer? May-24-07
A: Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately it does not come with a certificate as the signer is a tough cookie to track down.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Gutenberg must be turning in his grave! What he thought he invented (printing), had already been done 1400 years previously?
AND was waterproof (it was found IN a lake), AND written in English, AND signed by Jesus 27 years after his supposed death?
A miracle indeed!
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

The princess bride?

I remained honest and did not use any internet help, I was going to say "Mad Max" at first but upon putting more force on my brain I did not remember any Miracle Max in it and came up with "The Princess Bride" answer instead.
