Thinkpad-like keyboard???
Thinkpad-like keyboard???
I have been pouring through search engine results trying to find a standalone keyboard with at trackpoint built in. Do these exist? I don't care if it is wired (usb or ps/2) or bluetooth. (if one exists without a numpad and without a trackpad, that would be perfect!)

Lenovo makes a few different Ultranav keyboards; you can find these under accessories on the Lenovo web site. The 31P9490 travel keyboard does not have a numeric keypad, but it does include the touchpad (which you can disable).
Your other alternative is Unicomp, which makes the current version of the IBM Model M buckling-spring keyboards. Their EnduraPro 104 model includes a Trackpoint -- with no touchpad, but it does have the numeric and cursor keypads. See http://www.pckeyboard.com/ep104.html

Or if you're like me and have tons of crap laying around, you can get an older ThinkPad with bad LCD, remove the LCD, load the windows remote desktop client on and have a CRT hooked into the computer and use the system to remotely control a Windows XP or Vista computer.

It's about the same price as the Lenovo Ultranav keyboard. As far as keyboards go, you really do have to pay for quality.Turbo Audi wrote:Ehhhh not for that price....iMav wrote:THIS is exactly what I want! (too bad it is out of stock)![]()
