Dual booting is easy, and FEBE actually works.

After backing up all my data on my external, I reinstalled XP and am now again dual-booting again with Ubuntu 7.04. I used Partition Magic to partition the disc and my GRUB menu did not show. My fault.

Did a very basic install of XP; used Linux partitioner and everything is dandy. I love it when software does what you want it to do. :D

Both OS's are set up on my big 320gb (300 usable) HDD.

If you use FF, grab the extension FEBE:
http://customsoftwareconsult.com/extens ... /febe.html

You can back up all your permissions, cookies, passwords (it is apparently very secure from what I read), bookmarks, security certificates, themes etc. I'm sure I am not telling anybody anything new, but thought I would share.

There is also CLEO which is similar to FEBE, apparently it saves as one file so you don't have to keep going Tools/FEBE/Restore/etc in drop down menus. I could not get it working, however. User error obv.

Its nice to be back in Linux, after not using it since February. I forgot how wonderful Synaptic and Automatix was.

I like Ubuntu 7.04 a lot on my T22 ... though I am not a big fan of atomatix. Its apt-get at the console for me :D

haha, ya, you are one-up on me gator. My brothers wife emailed me yesterday telling me of a job the PR firm she works for is hiring a junior Linux admin in the DC area. If anyone is interested PM me I'll send you the classified link.

I am not very good with Linux...yet.
