It's lighter than the X6* tablet too! Unfortunately, it doesn't have a touchpad.

Having used a D630, I can say that a trackpoint does not equal a Trackpoint...

I have to agree... I am given a Dell with a trackpoint to work on, but it in no way can compare to the Trackpoint

n.b. one other things to note: it has a ULV CPU

For a tablet, isn't the whole screen already a big "touchpad"? (with a stylus or with your fingertip for some models)

With the exception of the keyboard itself, that looks more like a ThinkPad than some of the ThinkPads!

But still better than the X61 tablet, which no longer has the SXGA+ option.

FYI, Fujitsu has

12.1" WXGA TFT LED back-lit enhanced indoor display with wide viewing angles; Bi-directional hinge; 0.204 dot pitch, >220 nits brightness
Optional: 12.1" WXGA indoor/outdoor display with anti-reflective coating

It appears that it cannot be ordered until Lenovo is able to secure enough supplies to meet the demand. Better this way, I think, than getting ship dates 2-3-4 months into the future.

If it's built like other Fujitsu's I've owned (and own) then I want one of these. Fujitsu's have always been my 2nd favorite line of laptops, but that may change if this trackpoint is close in feel to those of my Thinkpads. That is one nice tablet (on paper) for sure!

Lenovo T60 (IPS) - Fujitsu ST5020D - Fujitsu Q2010 - Docks and accessories for each (and a roomfull of stuff I can't use.)

99% that the screen isn't IPS (The X6x tablets still have some option for IPS screens), and it doesn't address what to me is the biggest drawback of the X-series: lack of optical drive.

I just received one of these. I have to request a return authorization within 15 days if I want to return it (ordered online from shopfujitsu store. This one is their very baseline model. It came with restore CDs for both Vista and Win XP with a note on Downgrade rights (I ordered with Vista).

Anyway its quite nice except for the fan noise, the fan is quite loud. I am guessing battery life will be around 4.5 hours with wifi on and screen brightness turned down 2 notches, but I have only run on battery for around 45 minutes since I had to charge the battery first. I have the standard battery that doesn't stick out. No multi-touch which I would very much like to have. The pointing stick mouse they use works very well and has 3 buttons. The keyboard is not quite as nice as a thinkpad, but its not bad.

The looks are nicely understated like a Thinkpad since it is all black including the keyboard.

If anyone has any specific questions let me know. But I have never owned an X60t or X61t so cannot compare directly. I have owned an x60s previously so thats as close a comparison as I can make.

I guess it's a good thing you left that 1% out, because guess what? It is IPS with LED!!! As a former owner of a X60t SXGA+, and now moved on to the T2010 I can say this is a solid tablet. I think the screen itself is a worthy enough reason for people who want a better screen alternative to the X61. It has wide angles like Thinkpad tablets. The 1280x800 resolution gives more space than the XGA and the LED makes the thing about 40% brighter than my X60t was. I got the base model at newegg for $1400 so it's a steal too. Anyone considering to get the X61, tablet or not check this unit out. The only complaint is that the fan can get pretty loud plugged in but it's silent on battery.
