I found this on the BBC Website, if it wasn't from a notable news broadcaster I wouldn't have believed it.

It's surprising to me that the lady didn't die from lead poisining :shock:

well 51 years ago pencils were made with lead, at least i think so...

Pencils haven't contained lead since the Roman times. (And whether the Roman lead sticks were "pencils" is debatable.)

true, qviri; i should take a look at wikipedia more before i respond. either way there are still effects from graphite poisoning, but they are rare and very minimal, and hard to diagnose. also, certainly not life threatening.

Yes he had... but he sneezed and some fell out again... one or so staied in his brain. Doc Hibert pulled it out and Homer grew really smart. Homer preffered to be dumb so he sticked it up his nose again...
