New Bruce and E Street Band album - Oct. 2

#1 Post by dorronto » Fri Aug 17, 2007 5:40 am

Bruce Springsteen's new studio album "Magic" will be released on October 2, 2007.

The album contains 11 new Bruce compositions

I just can't help myself. Been waiting for this album for years now. I realize now, there aren't many Bruce fans it seems on this forum, but
THE BOSS IS BACK!!! :D

From a longtime Bruce fanatic,

I've never invested in any of Springsteen's albums...the classic tracks from him I enjoy, but I really should buy a best of album of his one day.

No question about it.....A Greatest Hits cd is only the tip of the iceberg from Bruce and the boys.......It's the LIVE music that will put you over the edge. :D

Enjoy and thanks,

Yeah, I've seen a few clips of the live stuff...plus a video with him guesting with Neil Young where they did (I think) Down By the River. I do enjoy that mould of classic rock, so I have no doubts that I would enjoy more of it as part of my music collection. :)

I'll listen to him on the radio, but something about his voice bugs me, so I can't listen through an entire CD.

Don't get me wrong, I was there back in the day with "Born in the USA"...he is quite talented...just not my preference...

I've got the Pete Seeger sessions. I don't think Bruce has a great voice, but he does put a lot into it.

I heard on Conan O'brien, AKA....Conando, that Max Weinberg is touring with Bruce so he'll be away from his drummer duties on Late Night with Conan O'brien.

I saw Bruce live in Chicago last weekend (the 21st). Except for the lousy acoustics in The United Center (where the Bulls play) it was a GREAT concert. :thumbs-UP:

I saw an interview of Max Weinberg on TV once. He said that his role model was Ringo Starr. Ringo Starr is about my favorite drummer. Ringo doesn't stand out like some others, but if you listen carefully you can see how well he accompanies the rest of the band and how much he contributes to the total sound.
Max Weinberg -- "More than any other drummer, Ringo Starr changed my life. The impact and memory of that band on Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 will never leave me. I can still see Ringo in the back moving that beat with his whole body, his right hand swinging off his sock cymbal while his left hand pounds the snare. He was fantastic, but I think what got to me the most was his smile. I knew he was having the time of his life." (The Big Beat, 1984)

I still can't believe it. I've heard this before about Max and Ringo....

Thanks for the comment,
