Old Toshiba Satellite

#1 Post by mattbiernat » Tue Sep 04, 2007 1:12 pm

I bought a toshiba satellite for 2k back in 2004. the thing broke after a year and half (screen died and hinges broke). i was wondering how can i find out what kind of memory it uses. I would like to know whether i can put its 256mb or ram into use with my IBM refub T23 that is getting shipped to me today. same goes for the HD.

The HDD can be used if it is 2.5" PATA.

What is the model number of the Toshiba? I beleive we can find what memory it uses from that ... AFAIK, if it is from 2004, it should be PC2100/PC2700 (which will not work in a T23). However, it will be easy to confirm this if you post the model number of the toshiba satellite.

You cannot use the memory from this toshiba on your T23 since the toshiba uses PC2100 DDR SODIMMs as I expected ... you can maybe sell it here on the marketplace. The T23 uses PC133 chips, more info is available on the T23 area.
