I suspect the 17" WUXGA screens are better than the 15.4" ones.pianowizard wrote:Why not get a 15.4" WUXGA laptop that weighs 1 to 1.5 lbs less?
Chaz said it was the best screen he had ever seen, so I assume its at least as good as a dell 17" WUXGA, and those screens are just GORGEOUS.
The Flexview UXGA screens would probably be better, but they've been discontinued.
And finally, 1.5 lbs vs 17" tradeoff might be fair for many people.
The weight of this laptop is actually quite close to the R50P.
The price unfortunately is a bit too much. I hope it drops below $1800. HP actually had some decent prices on extended warranties ($230 for 5 years).
Would any of you guys be interested in a 17" thinkpad at about 7.5 lbs ?
