Have you ever used BidPay?

#1 Post by Diehard » Thu Sep 27, 2007 3:30 pm

I would like to change to other online payment services. I've been used PayPal for all my Payments. PayPal charges very high fee for exchange money (for me, from Euro to $). When something goes wrong after paying and luckily if I get the money back , they will charge me the second time ($ to Euro).

So if anyone who has BidPay experience, please tell me how safe it is...
Thanks

I've used BidPay once and did not find it any different than PayPal as far as being on the buyer's side of the transaction. It was with a seller in the U.S. so there wasn't any issue of conversion charges.

As far as being safe, that's anyone's guess. I trust them as much as I do PayPal, eBay, eSnipe, my bank and most anywhere else on the web where I transmit my credit card information.

From the telephone number on their web site, they are located in Mountain View, California, where I lived for many years, and the home of Google.

Pretty much the same comments as Ray as regards to the buyer's side of the transaction. I have paid my eBay purchases through them more than a dozen times, well more than two dozen times and so far (been lucky) no problems encountered yet. I use Bidpay whenever the seller is registered since my delivery address is different from my confirmed address. The exchange rates are not much different from the bank-to-bank rates when I remit money abroad.
