I need help (laptop addiction)

#1 Post by wearetheborg » Fri Sep 28, 2007 8:33 pm

It started out simple, I just wanted a spare laptop.
So I bought a thinkpad. Then came on this forum and found out about flexviews and UXGA. Bought another. And yet another.

I can only justify keeping one laptop (other than my M90), but i dont want to sell the others. They look so pretty...

I'm glad I can't really afford more than one. Especially when it comes to Thinkpads. They cost strawberries in Europe.

That is normal :) One thinkpads obviously leads to another, just like all roads lead to rome. Soon you'll find 2 or 3 (or more, if you are like Ray!) thinkpads that you *really* like and you'll probably stop (like me) ... or you won't ... whatever happens, don't worry about it!
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Rules of the road :thumbs-UP:

It really gets bad when you start going through several models because you've heard or read that one is better than the other in some aspect/s. It's a vicious circle I tell ya ... LOL.

Not all are thinkpads.
I have a dell M90 (which I'm keeping).
Then I have a R50P, and a HP NC8000.
I want to keep both. I cant explain my attachment to the NC8000. Its a bit clunky, inferior trackpoint buttons to TPs, but I I like it !!!!

And now I want to get a dell 15.4" with a WUXGA resolution

I can help you in your affliction and relieve the stress and pain of having to sell your beloved equipment.

You could just give it to me. I too have fallen in love with the rugged feel of my T21... but it's lonely.

I just added up the available ports I could have on my network if I hooked up all my networking equipment...
I want to test all 46 ports at the same time. I also have WIFI, so rest assured, I would not squander any of the abilities any donated equipment would have.

...so feel free to send your equipment off to Joesters Computer Playground. I'll be happy to take care of it.

How generous of you! I think I'm feeling a little charitable, too.

It pleases me to no end that someone would offer to help me should I get overwhelmed. I figure 46 LAN connections and probably 10 or so WIFI would be a real good test.

Thanks for backing me up! :D
