Burn iso image to usable CD?

#1 Post by winslow » Sun Oct 14, 2007 5:34 pm

I have an iso image of office 2007 that I want to burn to CD however when I burn (iso recorder)it it just records an unusable file to the CD. What program do I need to burn the image into a usable disk?

I've never used ISO Recorder, so I can't say much about it. I use a program called ImgBurn to make ISOs and burn them, and it works well.

Roxio seems to manage it well for me....

The "RecordNow" utility that has shipped with a number of ThinkPads models also burns ISO images very nicely.

That is the one I currently have installed. After I burn the image to CD it just records two unopenable explorer images that won't install the product. For some reason it doesn't write the files to disk.

I recommend the simple, free utility ISOBurn - works fine; simple to use!

Are you sure that your ISO image is not corrupted?

Try to mount the iso image via Daemon Tools or other loopback adapter. If it is corrupted you'll know it right there without turning CDs into coasters. And if it works and you just want to install the software proceed from there.
