The Ugliest Products in Tech History

#1 Post by ryengineer » Mon Oct 15, 2007 7:11 am

Yesterday's heavenly tools; today's "The Ugliest Products in Tech History".
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

#10- Microsoft Zune

That's the best they could come up with? They got to nine, couldn't think of any more, and saw a Zune sitting on their desk. I'm not a fan of it, but please!

Human psychology prefers shiny, good looking instruments, presently that's also one way to lure majority of people towards shiny and colorful Macbooks, Hp's, Dells etc.

Imagine IBM coming into existence after Apple and claiming it's thinkpad (suppose a big bulky box) to be "Macbook killer" in a well established dominant market of neat, bright and gorgeous looking Macbooks.

Personally, I have never owned neither of those music players; infact not any in my life and probably will never. However if I had to, it would had definitely been an iPod with a Hide-a-Pod Zune box for security purposes.

What's wrong with the acoustic modem? :?
T420 i5-2520M 2.50GHz 4 GB RAM 64-bit OS WIN7pro SP1

T60 1951-46U Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz 1 GB RAM 60 GB XPpro

TP 600E 2645 PII 366MHZ 160MB RAM 37.2GB WIN98SE

Computers do exactly what you tell them at amazing speeds; this can be bad if what you told them wasn't what you had in mind.
