I am so tired of seeing the fuel prices GO UP! and then everyone jumping on the bandwagon about hot it affects "jet-fuel" prices and this and that...


One barrel of gas makes a MULTITUDE of things...TONS...

Back in the day of "whale oil" a new product was found that could substitute the high cost and decreasing supply of "whale oil"...CRUDE. This new product by means of "destillation" could produce KEROSENE; one of the bi-products of the process "GASOLINE" the same stuff we put in our cars...what happened to it? It got tossed, since at that time they had no use for it!!

Now here is what ticks me off...even then they made millions selling this stuff considering they tossed everything else out. The more demand there is; the more the prices go up. The less demand the lower the prices stay...? The whole point of producing more is so you could charge less...

Kerosene is a good "parts cleaner", a lot of the "engine cleaners" and "crankcase cleaners' that sell for $4 or more; all they are, is about a quarter of a gallon or less of KEROSENSE...what makes the jetliners run... KEROSENE! "Jet-Fuel" LOL!

Now it is the reverse, ONE of the biproducts of making "GASOLINE" is KEROSENE and DIESEL is even CHEAPER to produce then gasoline (DIESEL you can think of as "Kerosene with Oil" that is obtained by a different distillation process and leaves some of the other stuff in...) By the way, diesel contains MORE energy than GASOLINE but it is harder to ignite, since DIESEL has to have "high-heat" or be compressed to ignite (FWIW:gasoline fumes ignite in gasoline and not the gasoline..!?!)

I am done runting...in short...a huge, complex political bunch of B*!

Gas costs on average 7,6$/gallon in my town...haha
