Compaq V2000 Overheating

#1 Post by camdecoster » Thu Dec 06, 2007 12:08 am

Not Thinkpad related, but I have an Compaq Presario V2000 that gets really hot. It didn't used to, so I'm wondering if something is broken. The fan is working non-stop when the computer is on and the touchpad gets too hot to touch. Could this be a battery problem? I'm hoping with all the laptop knowledge on this forum, someone will have some suggestions on what to do. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it sounds like it is clogged with dust.

That seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the help.
