If you really got the Flu virus (not a cold or some other lighter duty problem), then you are in for a rough time (if not already).

Despite all the FUD, I get a Flu vaccine shot each year, and it definitely helps. ... JDH

Nick Frost.

Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz...

FWIW, the flu vaccine is pure bollocks. Half the people that I know that have gotten one get sick from it. Last time I got the flu shot, I spent half the winter sick as a dog. I haven't had a flu shot in 3 years, and the worst thing I have gotten was a bad cold where I lost my voice.

Sounds like you have quacks for medical people. Your statistic is off by miles where I live. Maybe one in several thousand get sick from the vaccine. If you really believe it is bollocks, you are totally mis-informed. ... JDH

Being military, everyone on base has to get the flu shot. Lately everyone has been getting stuck with the Nasal mist of the flu shot and that makes alot of people sick for a couple of days. This is because the Nasal mist conains a live version of the flu where as the Shot contains a dead version of the flu.

The flu can be deadly can has killed as many as 40-100 million people world wide in a 3 year Pandemic. it happened in the 1918-1920 era and was called the spanish flu.

the Flu has many strains and mutates quickly, When you get your flu Vaccine you are given 3 versions of the flu, they are different every year.

InFluenza is dangerous, I would get my shot if I were you.

Personal experience is tough to refute. Sucks when a flu shot takes an ambulance service to half staff for a weekend.

I am not denying your own experience, and I don't think we see much nasal mist application around here. By and large, however, thousands and thousands of people where I live get flu shots without problem. ... JDH
