problem with SHARP PC MM-1-1 notebook

#1 Post by sco1984 » Mon Feb 25, 2008 3:55 am

Hi,
I just received notebook of my friend. Its SHARP notebook. Very thin like slate and model number is PC MM-1-1 . The notebook was working ok earlier. Right now the notebook is front of me. When I hit power button nothing happens. I have atatched power adapter and the battery LED is blinking. I assume battery is less than 2% remaining. But it should boot. Even that Z LED which means system status not showing up. Nothing happens. I also tried by removing battery pack and connecting notebook on direct power. Nothing happens. Also tried by pressing RESET button which is at bottom. No response.

What could the problem? Can it be due to CMOS cell? Time to replcae CMOS battery? Any hint/clue ? I tried to google but all pages are in japanese and after translating I found nothing good info for troubleshooting ..

Regards,
AmeY.
