New version of SpywareBlaster out

#1 Post by goofyGAguy » Sat Mar 01, 2008 10:41 pm

Just a heads-up to those of you who use SpywareBlaster ( and if you aren't you should be :) ) a new version is out. Just got it going, seems pretty cool. Has a much nicer and more modern GUI. Link is below if anyone is interested:

I've been using Adaware and Spybot Search&Destroy as a combo for more years than I'd like to remember :). Is Spywarebaster better?

Same here Harry. SpywareBlaster can be used in conjunction with Spybot S & D. They seem to get along like pigs in slop. :D

The all purpose solution to spyware and viruses?

i like spyware blaster because it does not consume any resources and instead of removing spyware it prevents the installation of it. i use it in conjunction with Spybot SD and Windows Defender.

I used to use Spywarelaster but it seems that it's function is very similar to Spybot S&D's "Immunize" function. They both add sites to the host file. Spybot seems to add more than SpywareBlaster did. What does SpywareBlaster do that "Immunize" doesn't?

Also use Ad-aware, although not in combo with Spybot...but that combo seems like a common choice, I'll look into it, thanks!
