IRC Chat

If anyone is interested, I created a chatroom for ThinkPad people... everyone is welcome.

irc.darksideinternet.com
Channel:
#ThinkPad
Theres no password and currently I'm the only OP. I have control over the IRC Server too. My nickname there is "UltimateX". IRC Server has 99.9% uptime, with downtime only during upgrades late at night.

I remember using mIRC like 12 years or so ago to do all my movie downloading!

I'd rather use some of the bigger IRC networks (IRCnet etc.) as I'm trying to keep the places I have to connect down (yes, I'm a mIRCtard and too lazy to try to figure out how it autojoins several networks :lol: ). Besides, bigger networks are never down since there are many servers.

Anyway, I joined to hang around.

Can you change the name of the IRC chatroom to something like this -> Thinkpad forum IRC chatroom? :-)

Yours sounded a bit like a server with virus. (sorry! Not meant to offend you) :oops:

Its okay. Its just a name of my friends website. He doesnt use DarkSideInternet other than to host websites and to host his servers like IRC, TeamSpeak and such. He uses DSIStudios.com for his computer business. It sounds more professional.

Also you cant make the name of the IRC Channel with spaces and that long. But everyone is welcome to setup their virus scanners to check the server when connecting.

Also for those who are worried, we also have a masking service that masks your ip with our server. We also have NICKSERV as well.
