You probably won't notice much difference between HDMI and component. The only time you will is if the equipment you're connecting is crappy or the cable itself.

How old are those eyes now, Ray? They used to be near a half century, maybe you've reached the big 5.0.?

yea, if you cant notice the difference between component video and HDMI(DVI) than there is no need to waste a bunch of money on the latest and greatest. better off buying a last years model or closeout or whatever.
