I suppose that you posted it here to get comments.... It shows that you put a lot of effort to do that, and probably will look good when you finish it. That regarded technique, now let's go on contents, guns and soldiers on desktop, it so past tense for me, put a flower in it
.... p.s. i have my reasons to say that, but don't let mine opinion discourage you....

Thank you for the comments, yes I'd love to have as many as possible.
And actually, putting a flower there would be an absolutely great idea - I could put it as part of the decorations etc. of the room they're in, etc.
Everything is all black & gun-y so putting a flower would make a great contrast. Thanks for the suggestion.

Absolutely, you're right. Potent is the word. It gets the idea. The hair would be much better outlined - I tried to make the hair abstractish, but it doesn't look good as hair outlined with edges
I'm trying to outline the soldier & his gun right now - I used auto-vector function, so it wasn't clear- cut, I'm trimming it down right now.
As for the gun, are you talking about the handgun held by the thinkpad or the gun held by the special force trooper? (CSS) In the actual picture, the soldier's gun is blurred & it's completely black, but I could add onto the original by looking over another pic of the actual gun.
As for the handgun, yes it is dull I realize that - I need to make it more noticeable & more colorful. Thanks.

Maybe I'm taking this way too far, but what exactly are you trying to say with this wallpaper? What message are you trying to relate?

Thanks.
The scene I want to create is -
this French special force guy (from Counter Strike Source)
is hiding behind something like a door or a wall or a bookshelf, to ambush
I don't know know yet if I want to make it like -
ThinkPad > Mac Air or something & put the Mac logo on the counter strike source guy or something
but the whole point is to express the goodness of the thinkpads. so you guys who are thinkpad users can have a neat fan-based ThinkPad wallpaper. thx
