I'd be sceptical that HP can make good monitor. The specs reminds a 3000:1 contrast ratio trick values :-) Their monitors typically suffer from overbrighted problem. Don't mention backlight uniformity corrections etc. 14 bit processing is currently nothing new. I believe in NEC or Eizo only if the word quality is supposed to be used. But I might be wrong ...
